Why the Future Government Institute Exists
Governments worldwide face unprecedented transformation challenges. From AI to climate to cyber threats, the pace of change is accelerating. Citizens expect modern, user-centred services. But many governments lack the capability to deliver.
The problem isn't technology. It's capability. Governments invest in the latest systems but struggle to implement them. They hire consultants but lack structured pathways to build internal expertise. They announce transformation programmes but can't measure progress or prove outcomes to citizens and stakeholders.
The Future Government Institute exists to solve this. We provide independent assessment that measures capability, G3 Ready certification that proves readiness, and Communities of Practice that connect practitioners to build Government 3.0 capability together. We are the movement from Government 2.0 to Government 3.0, and ready for Government 4.0.
The FGX Rating System is the world's first independent rating for government digital capability. It measures where organisations and individuals sit from G0 (paper-based systems) to G4 (AI-enabled transformation), with G3 representing Government 3.0 Ready status.
FGX is not another framework. It's a rating that shows exactly where capability sits against a global standard. Organisational assessments measure 45 indicators across Leadership, Human Experience, and Trust. Individual assessments measure 22 Gov 3.0 Capabilities through the FGX Capability Platform. Both provide independent, globally comparable results that turn abstract transformation into measurable capability.
G3 Ready certification validates that individuals and organisations have reached the Government 3.0 threshold.
